Have you ever wished you had not started a job. Decided to change the radio and this is what I found. Now in the process of pruning wires. Dash off next, sure it will be fun…
Oups, You got some previous old mechanic´s hand still in there as well...
...let´s see if you safely can get that removed at the same time.
LOL
😉
Hi Michael,
I´m more careful not to open any lid and find new surprises......
Gathering guts to take on the Turbo change by the end of the week 🙂
Take care!
Hi Henrik,
Just take it step by step, follow the instructions that come with the turbo. If you dont have them let me know I can send them. I flushed the engine oil, then changed it and the filters again after 150 kms.
One tip, put balloons over the oil feed and drain pipes as soon as you disconnect from old turbo, to stop any dirt getting in while fitting.
Good luck.
Hej Michael,
thanks I have the instructions, the idea with balloons is great!
Main concern now is mainly to loosen the corroded bolts to the manifold and the exhaust .......but we´ll see.
Have almost brand new oil and filters so I probably do as you and use that first and then change it after some km´s.
Take care!
Henrik,
I bit the bullet and purchased and induction heater from Biltema. Crazy expsensive, but its works great, only heats up the offending nut or bolt.
Cheers Michael
The slow, pains taking process, of sorting the wiring commences. I have never seen such a bodge job in my life…
O well, trace and mark, trace and mark.
