Sorry my swedish isnt good enough to ask this.
I have a left hand drive discovery TD5 which I am going to change it over to swedish registratio soon.In the UK the TD5 does not have to have catalytic converter for the besikning so everyone changes the downpipe as it improves economy and performance. It also ok to bypass the EGR valve.
Will my car pass the swedish besikning with these mods or will i have to change back ?
Any help would be really appreciated.

Yes it will pass the besiktning. Some engines which have lot of soot might have to be run on high revs for a while to clean out.
I usually drives the engnine to work temperature then, go for 10-15 minutes on the motorway on 3rd of 4th gear with high revs, it might sound bad but does the K-value good. Which is what besiktning will measure and check.

Hi Dave,
where in sweden are you living mate? : ) I have a td5 cat you can lend if you need to. They do look under the bonnet, so its kinna hit or miss if they spot the EGR missing. The rules say that it must be on, even if its not working.. so its a grey zone there.

Hi Tony, thanks i still have the cat pipe and also the egr in my garage. With the diesel skatt here i might keep it on uk plates for as long as i can get away with it. I was going to get it lastbil registered and just use it for work but i have too much fun with I it so want to keep the back seats and have an old car i can use. I live in Frillestad just outside Helsingborg.
