Rattling noise,

Greetings all,
I have been reading up about the rattling noise that occurs when the clutch plate starts to go.
I can't find any clear answers as to how much time one has left before it completely fails.
I've been driving with the rattling noise now for almost 6 month with no change so far. Usually starts when engine is warm and clutch still feels fine.
Also, replacing the clutch is a lot more than I can handle on my own and wondering if any of you have a mechanic recommendation in the strangnas-Mariefred-Stockholm area.
