Hi folks,
sorry, in english. Think about moving complete to your nice country.
Having no personalnumber, so it´s difficult to get swedish insurancedetails online.
What costs per annum do I have with my two cars, tax and insurance for a
2000 Td5 110STW ( Euro 3) and a S1 86" 2l petrol 1955 with historical status ?
Thanks in advance and greetings from Germany
Uli

Gosh, don't move here, personally I hate this country.
Well, we need more details like age and where you are thinking about to live.

too cold? too dark?
Maybe it will be Götaland, Landskaps Småland , Kalmar Län, Hultsfred.
Age 52, no accidents since 23 years, ca. 30000km p.a., german insurance reduced to 27%
I think it will be nearly the same in Sweden.
I don´t need it exact until the last Krona, only roundabout.
Is the Defender tax about 4000 SEK and the insurance 4000 or 8000 Krona ( fully comprehensive cover!)
And for the little one is there a fixed rate for "historic" tax and insurance like in Germany, here you have to pay p.a. 1800 SEK tax for an historic vehicle and ~ 1800SEK insurance for the 86"
Both insurances fully comprehensive cover ´til the last Penny damage.

Insurance: depends where yo are moving to, what kind of vehicle and where yo are moving to. As foreigner you will be granted no-claims-bous anyway.
Tax: your STW won't be cheap (about SEK 12.000) to tax unless you register it as a light truck (about SEK 3.200), in which case you will have to remove the rear seats.
